Writer Update! December 10, 2022

Progress is being made!

I thought I’d provide a little update on where I’m at with my projects at the moment. Lately I’ve been spending a lot of time focusing on marketing. Creating this website, along with establishing a few social media profiles, I’ve made some solid strides towards turning my writing hobby into a potential profession.

Book 1 of my debut trilogy, Forgotten Children of Avalon, has officially met the halfway point of its first draft. I can see the quality of it declining slightly as I write as I rush to finish the draft by the new year. However, I can fix this in editing, and my priority is just getting the words on the page right now. I’m really enjoying seeing my plot come to life, even if it’s a bit vague at the moment.

Book 2 (title in development), has officially taken off, with my plot outline taking shape! I’m so excited to start writing this project once book 1 reaches editing stage. The tension is building, emotions running high in book 2 and I’m so excited to write this fast-paced, action-filled story.

I’m also starting to look into publishing options for my work. My ultimate goal is to traditionally publish which means I'm looking into editors, agents, publishers and strategies for standing out in a market teeming with talented writers and creators.
